The summaries below are shared to give a brief description of the shows in the FFM&F's repertoire. The troupe prepares one show to tour each winter and spring season.

CHRISTMAS

Babushka & the Surprise Visitors

Grandma Baboushka lives alone in her warm mountain cabin. One night in the middle of a snowstorm, she has an important decision to make. Her choice will affect the rest of her life. Based on the classic Russian folktale, this half-hour family-friendly show features over a dozen colorful, hand-crafted marionettes. Watch as the many animal and character puppets unfold the magic of this Christmas tale.

The Gift of the Princess

Princess Amira overhears her father and his wise friends. She dearly wants to accompany them on their journey, but her pleas are ignored. Instead, she sends a special gift to bless the new-born king. This original tale was written by marionette director Dave Payne and features over a dozen colorful, hand-crafted marionettes. Human characters include the lovely Princess Amira, the wisemen, Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus along with a host of animal puppets as well. The magic of Christmas is shared in a new way in this performance.

CHRISTMAS / EASTER

The Forgotten Wiseman 

Artaban is studying the night skies when he notices a bright new star. Consulting his wise friends, they decide to follow the star. Artaban's journey, though, takes unexpected twists. This classic tale--adapted from Henry Van Dyke's The Other Wiseman-- can be performed for either Christmas and Easter. It features over a dozen colorful, hand-crafted marionettes. Will Artaban fulfill his quest? Only time will tell.

    A Sight to See 

    Benjamin is a young blind boy. His brother Judah has little sympathy for his handicap. That all changes on a trip to the fields and an encounter with the Master. This original tale was written by director Dave Payne by blending Bible accounts leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection. This half-hour family-friendly show features over a dozen colorful, hand-crafted marionettes who team up to show how Jesus changes lives. Enjoy the magic of this new Easter story.

    Princess Gloriana & the Dragon 

    There's a dragon in the enchanted forest! Who will save the kingdom from this evil menace? Written by director Dave Payne this original fairy tale features a fun sound track. Will the people of the kingdom enjoy a "happliy ever after"?

    ORIGINAL FAIRY TALE

    Princess Tiara & the Perfect Match 

    Minstrel Fairfax narrates the adventures of Princess Tiara as her loving parents King Edwin and Queen Belle try to find the "perfect match" so Tiara can live happily ever after. This original fairy tale tells reinforces Christian values.

    ORIGINAL FAIRY TALE

    I Can Do All Things 

    Visit the world of Minutia and enjoy this whimsical original tale. Jack, Jill, Farmer Joe, Farmer Pete, the King and many more tells reminds everyone of the Bible truth that even little people can do big things. This fifteen minute family-friendly show is typically paired with one of our fairy tale shows to provide a half-hour experience.
